The United States is a federal constitutional republic consisting of fifty states and a federal district. The country is located in the central part of North America, home to forty-five contiguous states, along with the capital Washington, D.C.. The United States is flanked by the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans to the west and east, bordering Canada to the west and east. north, and Mexico to the south. Two other states, namely Alaska and Hawaii, are located separately from the mainland United States. The state of Alaska is located at the northwestern tip of North America, bordering Canada to the east and Russia to the west, separated by the Bering Strait. Meanwhile, the state of Hawaii is an island nation located in the Pacific Ocean. The United States also has several territories in the Pacific and Caribbean.
The United States is the third largest country in the world, and the third largest by population. The United States is one of the multiethnic and multicultural countries in the world, just like Indonesia. This emerged as a result of massive immigration from various parts of the world. The climate and geography of the United States is also very diverse and the country is home to a wide variety of species.
